Dec 1999 Vicky’s song “Cry Africa” was used in the movie Burn Salone which covered the horrific war that took place in Freetown
Dec 2002 Vicky released the Album “Hold my Hand” in Sierra Leone and the United States. This became the highest selling Album in Sierra Leone in 2003 and to-date no album has been able to beat that sales record.
2003 Vicky received the award for the best selling album for “Hold my Hand” from the cassette sellers association of Sierra Leone and Premier Media, Inc, All works of life also awarded this release as the best Album of the Year
2003 In the United States - The Sierra Leone progressive union awarded Vicky a certificate for a job well done and the Swyzie Social Club recognized Vicky as the Best Female Musician
2005 Vicky released the album “Sweet Motherland Sierra Leone “ in Sierra Leone and in the United States
2006 April the Stars Of Sierra Leone – United Kingdom invited Vicky Fornah to London to receive the award of Best Female Artist
2006 Dec Cassette Sellers association of Sierra Leone once more awarded the album “Hold my Hand” to still be the best album of the year.
2006 Nov Vicky was appointed the head of the Sierra Leone Female Musicians Association in Sierra Leone that encourages young female artists in Sierra Leone to achieve their goals
2007 June Vicky performed in a fund raising concert in Toronto Canada where her songs “Cry Africa” and “Dis World” became major hits.
2007 Nov Vicky did multiple performances in Winnipeg, Canada for fundraisers and award shows.
2008 Vicky release another Album entitled – Thank You in the US - A big hit !!!
